cohen: Bio y discografía
COHEN es un grupo musical mexicano originario de Guadalajara, Jalisco. Su música se define como rock/pop alternativo con un toque electrónico. Esta banda pertenece al resurgimiento de la escena rock en Guadalajara.
COHEN se forma en noviembre de 2009, como resultado de la separación de Alan Cohen de su proyecto llamado VOXX, con el cual sacó a la venta un EP con colaboraciones de Poncho Toledo (La Lupita/ Los Concorde) y Leonardo de Lozanne(Fobia/ Los Concorde).
COHEN se caracteriza por ser una banda con un sonido energético, contemporáneo e influenciado por las tendencias del nuevo rock europeo.
En febrero del 2010, COHEN lanza su álbum debut titulado "TheCera" bajo el sello tapatío 3er piso Records. Dicho material incluye el primer sencillo “Carrousel” cuyo video tuvo rotación en diversas televisoras importantes del país. En Diciembre del mismo año, COHEN graba un EP de 3 temas titulado "COHEN Live Sessions". Este material incluye 2 temas en vivo del disco "TheCera" y un nuevo sencillo titulado "Algo tengo que dejar de hacer", el cual tuvo gran aceptación en la radio a nivel nacional. A principios del 2011 COHEN regresa al estudio y graba su tercer material titulado “4 AM”.
COHEN es:
Alan Cohen (Voces, guitarra eléctrica, Synths), Gabriel Montaño (Batería, programación) y Leopolde Torres (guitarra eléctrica y acústica).

«COHEN» is a Mexican alternative rock band, formed in the city of Guadalajara, in late 2009. Reaching to extremes of music, Alan Cohen (Voice, guitar), Leopolde Torres (guitar) and Gabriel Montaño(drums) unite to form the final trio and bring life to what is now defined as in one point getting really sweet and melodic, and on the other hand going crazy as a rock n’ roll song can get.
COHEN begins from the idea of Alan Cohen in creating a fresh sound, in relation to his previous project, VOXX, band which released an EP, such material featured collaborations of Leonardo Lozzane and Poncho Toledo.
Alan, Gabriel and Leopolde had its debut show as COHEN in February 2010, presenting their first album titled «TheCera».
«TheCera» is now available on iTunes, CD Baby and Amazon.
COHEN is currently promoting their music video of their new single «CARROUSEL».
